Baseball Queensland is gearing up for an action-packed weekend as the Futures League continues to roll out, with the Open Women’s competition kicking off this Friday night and both the U16 and U18 competitions starting on Sunday.
The Futures League Open Women’s competition is set to start this Friday, 16th August, at Beenleigh Hawks Baseball Club. Teams are selected from players aged 15-30, with each team allowed two out-of-age players, creating a dynamic mix of experience and youthful energy. Matches will be played on five consecutive Friday nights, with the season concluding on 13th September.
On Sunday, the spotlight will shift to the U16 and U18 divisions, where some of Queensland’s most promising young baseball stars will take the field. Both the U16 and U16 Emerging teams will play at Runcorn Indians Baseball Club, while the U18 teams will compete at Redlands Rays. The Sunday matches promise to be filled with intense competition and outstanding displays of athleticism as these young athletes push themselves to new heights.
