Big League Championships cancelled this weekend 🌧️

After extensive discussions, Baseball Queensland, host @ipswichmusketeers Baseball Club , and the participating regions have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Big League Championships due to ongoing wet weather, heavy rainfall, and the forecast for more rain ☔

The host venue has advised that the fields could not be properly prepared or maintained for safe play, and with more rain expected, there was no opportunity for conditions to improve in time for the tournament. BQ explored all possible alternatives, including postponement and relocation, but due to scheduling challenges, venue availability, and player commitments, a reschedule was not feasible 😞

While this isn’t the outcome we had hoped for, player safety and the quality of competition are always our priority. We appreciate the effort that has gone into preparing for this event and thank everyone for their understanding 🙏

Thank you to all players, coaches, officials, and volunteers for your support - we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming tournaments 💥

Thank you to everyone who has already submitted their EOIs for our April State tournaments! We still have a few spots available and have added Content Creator roles for each tournament.

We are looking for:
📍 Tournament Director: Redlands Rays Baseball Club (overseeing Mt Gravatt)
📍 Assistant Tournament Director: Eagles Baseball Club Mt Gravatt
📍 Tournament Content Creators – Redlands, Redcliffe Leagues Padres Baseball Club , Mt Gravatt, Surfers Paradise Baseball Club

These are paid roles (with lunch provided) and offer the chance to be involved in some of the most exciting tournaments of the year.

Queensland Masters is back for 2025, Registrations are now open!⁠

Players aged 35 years and above, with female players from 25 years and above, have the opportunity to join one of three divisions: Division 1, Division 2, or Women’s ⁠
Team managers can easily register their teams via the provided link, and upon registration, will receive a unique team code to send out to their players⁠
