baseball Queensland Information Nights Coming to North Queensland

Baseball Queensland (BQ) is heading north to Townsville and Cairns to connect with clubs, coaches, and members in the region. These Information Nights are a great opportunity to hear directly from BQ’s Game Development Team about the future of baseball in North Queensland, how clubs can get involved, and the latest initiatives to support the sport’s growth.

Cairns – Monday, March 11 | Trinity Beach | 6:30–7:30 PM

These sessions are open to all club representatives, coaches, volunteers, and members who are passionate about developing baseball in their local community. Whether you’re involved in junior programs, club administration, women’s baseball, or are simply keen to learn more about BQ’s vision, this is an opportunity to engage with the people driving development across the state.

Meet the Team

You will have the chance to meet and hear from BQ’s dedicated Game Development Team, who will be leading discussions and answering questions about baseball’s future in North Queensland:

The sessions will provide key insights into BQ’s plans and strategies for the North Queensland region, covering topics designed to support local clubs and their members, including:

Buddy League – Rules & Regulations
A closer look at the Buddy League format, its benefits for player development, and how clubs can implement it effectively.

Junior Curriculum Resource for Coaches (Ages 3–8)
An exciting new resource to support grassroots coaches in developing skills for young players, ensuring a fun and structured learning environment.

Club Funding Opportunities + Support & Infrastructure
Learn about funding options, grants, and support structures available to clubs, including how to apply and maximise resources for local baseball development.

Women & Girls Plan & Strategy
BQ is committed to growing opportunities for female participation at all levels. Get the latest on development pathways, upcoming programs, and how clubs can encourage greater involvement in women’s baseball.

Development Officer Role
An overview of how BQ’s Development Officers work with clubs to provide hands-on support, deliver programs, and help grow participation across the region.

Baseball5 – Expanding the Game’s Reach
Discover how Baseball5, the fast-paced, street version of baseball, is opening new doors for participation, especially in schools and community programs.

New Mobile App – Teaser + EOI for Beta Testing
Get an exclusive preview of BQ’s upcoming mobile app, designed to enhance engagement and streamline access to baseball resources. Expressions of interest (EOI) will be open for clubs and members to participate in beta testing.
