Performance Pathway schedules, delivers and provides leadership to Athlete and Coach Development within Baseball Queensland.

Designing a Long Term Athlete Development framework provides stability and continuity whilst creating an optimal learning environment for athletes and coaches within our pathway.

• Support social aspects and individual development with the peers

• Appropriate periodisation for Benchmark Events (Nationals, International, College, ABL etc.) 
• Athlete management using modernised technology 
• Access to Driveline TRAQ, Pulse Throw, BLAST Motion and Rapsodo technology

• Nationally Identified / US College Very Good and above

STATE Development and ELEVATE SQUAD

•  Foundation stages of Performance 
•  Assistance with personal growth and maturation

•  Early stages of preparation for Australian Championships 
•  Preparation for Future League and Showcase Event 
•  Extended period of observation for QLD representation 
•  BQ Athlete Monitoring System profile 
•  Access to BLAST and Rapsodo Technology

    – 1 x midweek, 1 x weekend

 

QLD REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS

T3

•  LTAD Framework for Performance athletes 
•   Assistance with personal growth and maturation 
•   Support social aspects and individual development with the peers 
•   Develop skill and knowledge in a team environment 
•   Appropriate periodisation for Australian Championships 
•   Optimal Performance at Australian Championships 
•   Access to Pulse Throw, BLAST Motion, Rapsodo and BQ AMS Technologies 

 

Age Groups

•  U16 – Under 16 years before 31st December 
•   U18 – Under 18 years before 31st December 
•   Open Women – 15 years and over 
•   Youth Women – Under 16 years before 31st December 

 

Criteria

• Selected athletes to compete at Australian Championships

Time frame

U16 and U18
•   Preparation October to January
•   Championships January

Open & Youth Women
•   Preparation January to March
•   Championships March/April (Easter Break)

•   Program design tailored for each age group 
•   Assistance with personal growth and maturation + on field testing session. 
•   Support social aspects and individual development with the peers 
•   Develop individual skills and knowledge 
•   Develop game situational awareness 
•   Flexibility to meet family demands 
•   Regionally delivered

•    Opportunity to play multiple positions 
•    Enter tournaments

•  Preparation for various tournament/ competition. Examples are: 

     – Timberjacks (July) 
     –  Barclay Cup (October) 
    –  Gold Coast Classic (January)
