Active Clubs Round 2 will provide funding for not-for-profit local and regional sport and recreation organisations to support volunteers and provide flexible and safe physical activity opportunities to increase sport and recreation participation. Funding of $2,000 (GST exclusive) is available for approved organisations for volunteer training and recognition, education, equipment, covid safe related expenses and other eligible costs that meet the program objectives.

Thanks to the support of Moreton Bay Regional Council, the Little League, Intermediate League, Junior League, Senior League and for the first time in Queensland – Big League State Titles will be held from 7-10 April 2022 at Redcliffe Padres Baseball Club
Following the success of the 2021 event, a two day Division 2 Tournament (Saturday/Sunday) will be offered to Regional Teams in all age groups from Little League to Big League. Regions may enter as many teams as they like in the Division 2 competitions.
The Division 1 Competitions will be held over four days – Thursday to Sunday and will be delivered in accordance with Little League International Tournament Rules.
The event will also host a one day carnival for Teeball and Rookieball teams with clubs around Queensland encouraged to nominate their teams. Teeball will play their carnival on Saturday with Rookie Ball set to play on the Sunday.

A six-run second inning led Sunshine Coast Youth Women’s Team to a 9-2 victory on Tuesday. Sunshine Coast (SC) put the pressure on with multiple hits.
Gold Coast (GC) got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Gold Coast.
Sunshine Coast evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning with a walk, scoring one run.
After GC scored one run in the top of the third, SC answered with one of their own. GC scored on a ground out, scoring one run.
SC pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning.
SC starting pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out six and walking zero.
GC’s hurler allowed two hits and seven runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two. The GC Bullpen contributed three innings in relief.
SC socked one home run on the day in the fifth inning.

In the Girls Tournament Gold Coast defeated Brisbane Metro in an exciting back and forth contest.

After a complete round has been played in the Queensland Girls State Titles we know how the teams will stack up for finals starting tomorrow at Bannister Park, Hendra.
Game 2: 12:15pm on Field 2 sees Brisbane South @ Brisbane Metro
Game 1: from 12:00 midday on Field 3 will see Brisbane North @ Gold Coast.
The Youth Women’s Rounds are yet to conclude tomorrow with their teams being re-seeded tomorrow.
