Women coaches, we want to hear your stories.
Women coaching at representative levels are encouraged to take part in an AIS survey by June 19, aimed at improving representation and experiences in Australian sport.
Part of the wider Gender Diversity Project, the AIS Women in High Performance Coaching Project seeks to understand the incentives, motivations and barriers encountered by women coaches in Australia, ultimately helping to inform strategies and interventions for positive change.
Women coaching at city, regional, state, national and international representative levels are invited to participate in the survey, which is completely anonymous. Share the link with your own networks so we can encourage as many women coaches as possible to share their stories and have input.
Click here to complete the survey.
Please help us reach the target of 200+ responses. The more responses we have, the more depth we have for the narratives around the experiences of women coaches.
Any support and assistance you can provide in sharing this would be appreciated.
In terms of previous updates about this event, Baseball Queensland (BQ) & Surfers Paradise Baseball Club now propose to complete the games on the following dates:

May 22nd will be competition games and the Medal rounds will be played on 5th June.
We ask that team mangers advise all players and officials of these new dates and confirm team entries to Tony McPhail, (president@surfersbaseball.com) or (0411755776) by Monday 16th May at the latest.

In preparation for the U16 National Youth Championships being held mid year this year, our Blackchrome supporters apparel store is now open at this link:
https://blackchrome.com.au/baseball-queensland-supporters/
The store is open for a limited time only so get in quick to avoid disappointment. Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery from date the online store closes.
In the interests of all concerned and to allow people to plan for the long weekend ahead, it has been agreed to postpone the Masters Tournament.
The rain on the Coast continues to impact and the Diamonds at Surfers are saturated and have not been accessible all week and are still wet today.
BQ has agreed to play the tournament over two DRY Sundays in late May/early June and further details of this proposed will issue in due course.
We ask that team managers advise all players and officials of today’s decision and the prospect to playing in a few weeks’ time.
Both BQ and the Surfers club will endeavour to keep everyone informed and we confirm that we all want the event to reach a result.
Thank you for your understanding.
