CEO Acknolwdgement: North Queensland floods

With the recent rainfall and weather events occurring in our state’s north, the Baseball Queensland Board of Management and myself wish to offer our combined support for those enduring this difficult time. We know North Queensland people are strong and will endure, yet in the moment, we acknowledge how difficult this is.

To all the members of our Baseball community, their families, and the people of North Queensland, stay safe, stay strong, stay Queensland strong.

“This camp will give us an invaluable opportunity to pass on as much information as we can about the Premier12 and the national team program as a whole,” David Nilsson said.

FULL SQUAD

Team Australia will have its first chance at qualifying for Tokyo Olympic Games at this year’s Premier12, as Australia must finish above Chinese Taipei and South Korea to book a place to Tokyo2020.

We will be keeping a close eye on our Queenslanders as they prepare for the tournament.

On behalf of the CEO of Baseball Queensland Paul Gonzalez and the entire board, we would like to wish everyone involved with the U16 and U18 teams best of luck in the upcoming 2019 Australian Youth Championships.

We would like to thank all the coaches for their hard work. U16 team manager David Badke, along with coaches Dan Wilson and Scott McClelland and EO Keith Land and the U18 staff consisting of manager Gareth Jones and coaches Ken McDonald and Scott Porter and EO Karina Connors have all put in great effort and will continue to help get the best out of the boys.

However, it’s not just the coaches who give their time and effort, we would also like to thank all the support staff, from the scorekeepers to the umpires, who do all they can to help our boys be the best they can be.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all the parents who have taken their time to drive the kids all over for training and games, and support them in many ways. We are grateful for all that you have done and will continue to do.

It has the makings of a great tournament, and the U16 and U18 teams are primed to represent Queensland proudly.
