2023/2024 State Titles Dates Announcement

DATES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED FOR THE 2023/2024 QUEENSLAND STATE TITLES.

Hosting applications for each of these events are now open and will close on 15 August 2023.

Applicant organisations are encouraged to review the attached hosting criteria and address these criteria in their application to host.

Applications to host can be submitted to gareth@baseballqld.asn.au by C.O.B. 15 August 2023.

Baseball Queensland is excited to confirm the Dates for the 2023 and 2024 Womens, Youth and Girls State Titles and the 2024 Little League Pathways State Titles

FUTURES LEAGUE (OPENS)

Baseball Queensland in partnership with the Brisbane Bandits is seeking expressions of interest for players to compete in the 2023 Futures League “Ash Anderson Cup”

This is a draft based competition played throughout August and into early September. There will be two games a week being played on Tuesday and Friday nights.

Rosters will be made up by players predominantly 16 to 26 years of age with each team also being allowed to draft three overage players if they choose.

After the first two seasons of the Futures League there have been six players go on to make their ABL debut, three sign professional contracts with MLB organisations and sixteen commit to colleges in the USA.

To be eligible to be added to a team roster you must register for the draft using the link below. There is no cost for players to enter the draft.

Emerging Athlete Program Registrations Open

Emerging Athlete Program Registrations Open

The Emerging Athlete Program is now open for registration, offering young athletes aged 10 to 16 a remarkable opportunity to advance their baseball skills within Baseball Queensland’s Performance Pathway.

To secure a spot in the program, the registration fee is $253 (incl GST).  This includes a personalised shirt featuring their chosen number and a cap bearing the new EAP logo.

EAP will run for 8 weeks and players will be able to attend the location closest to them, selecting from the below options on the registration form:

This diverse range of locations ensures accessibility for athletes from various regions, minimising travel time and facilitating broader participation.

The Emerging Athlete Program is dedicated to delivering targeted instruction, and to achieve this, participants will be divided into groups based on their age and skill level. This grouping strategy ensures that each athlete receives instruction tailored to their specific needs and progress.

The program encompasses a wide range of baseball training components, including speed, agility, throwing, infield and outfield drills, hitting, and strength and conditioning. These comprehensive sessions aim to improve fundamental skills, enhance overall performance, and foster well-rounded athleticism.
