2025 Queensland Women’s Squad Announcement🎉⁠ ⁠ After a big week of Queensland State Titles, we are pleased to announce the players selected for the 2025 Queensland Women’s Squads. The squads include 48 Women’s players, 31 Youth Women’s players, and 22 in the Youth Women’s Elevate Squad 💥⁠ ⁠ Preparations are underway for the 2025 Australian Women’s Championships, held from 13-19 April, and the Australian Youth Women’s Championships (U16), from 15-19 April at Melbourne Ballpark 🏆 Training begins in January 2025, with tournament teams to be named in early February.⁠ ⁠ Congratulations to all selected players 🙌 We look forward to a big 2025 and an exciting year of women’s baseball ahead. ⚾⁠ ⁠ 🔗 2025 Australian Women’s Championship: link in bio
Gender Equity Action Plan Workshop 📝⁠ ⁠ Bas Gender Equity Action Plan Workshop 📝⁠ ⁠ Baseball Queensland is hosting the Gender Equity Action Plan (GEAP) Workshop on Saturday, 18 January 2025, from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm at Sports House, 150 Caxton St, Milton.⁠ ⁠ This workshop is open to all stakeholders who are passionate about fostering an inclusive environment for women and girls in baseball. Attendees can join in person or virtually. What an incredible week! 🌧🧙‍♂️⚾⁠ ⁠ Today wrapped up our Open Women's, Youth Women's and Girls State Titles for 2024. Despite losing two days to wet weather, we managed to complete 44 games of the 67 scheduled games.⁠ ⁠ The Naranga School of Groundskeeping and Wizardry managed to keep 3 fields operational despite a final accumulation of 186.2ml of rain since Thursday the 11th. Indians and Southern Stars are to be commended for their massive efforts in accommodating our Division 2 games and Ipswich for readily preparing their fields just in case we needed them!⁠ ⁠ Spirits remained high throughout the tournament and the energy was electric. A demonstration of the pure resilience, understanding and compassion found within the baseball community. It's hard to be anything but pleased with the fact that so many games got played and so much fun was had!⁠ ⁠ We already cannot wait for the return of the tournament, although, hopefully, without all the rain next time!⁠ Thank you to our tournament staff for their efforts, our First Aid, Photographers, and all of our players, coaches, scorers, umpires, EOs and host venue volunteers - we would truly be nowhere without you.⁠ ⁠ 📷: Andrea Marshall, Carter Parcell @carterclicksphotography, Michael Lovell @desolveimages, Nicola Caldwell @caldwell_n99, Nick Wyllie

What an amazing comeback at the Women’s State Ti What an amazing comeback at the Women’s State Titles! ⚾🌟 After the rain disruptions yesterday, we were back in action today with some incredible games! Division 1 teams fought hard, with the following results: 🥇 Gold: @brisbanenorthbaseball 🥈 Silver: @goldcoastbaseballassoc.inc 🥉 Bronze: @brisbanemetrobaseball Division 2 games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, so stay tuned for more action.
